Ty Hapus Graffiti Project

The Ty Hapus Graffiti Art Project is on now!  We are having a lot of fun at Ty Hapus with artist Ffion Spencer Larson  developing some art to put up around the building.  Yesterday we had a great day researching up on the Great Orme.  Many thanks to Conwy CDC department for arranging concessionary tickets to take local children up on the tram. This has only been made possible by partnership work between Ty Hapus, North Wales Police, Conwy Arts Service and Communities First.

We took over 100 photos and recorded different soundscapes and stories about the fossils, natural habitats and attractions on the Orme.

Today, we are using those ideas as background to the art we are producing.

Ty Hapus Adain Avion Animation Project

Its been a great week for funding!
We have just had news that we have funding from Arts Council Wales for our planned Adain Avion animation project.  The project will help residents from the local community train up, write and produce their own short animation to be shown in the Adain Avion exhibition in July 2012.  Curator Marc Rees writes that' such a playful collaborative intergenerational venture, illustrating the plane's journey through Wales will be a wonderful addition and integral creative contribution to the Llandudno nesting period'.

Anyone who is interested in getting involved should contact Jayne on 01492 338 914 or email jayne.louise.neal@conwy.gov.uk

Ty Llywelyn Adain Avion Dance project

We are pleased to announce the start of the Ty Llywelyn Adain Avion Dance Project.  This is an exciting opportunity for the Ty Llywelyn Youth Drop In dance group to get involved with the 2012 Cultural Olympiad celebrations in July 2012.

We have just received funding from Conwy Families First to enable us to work with tutor Emma- Jane Sutcliffe from Dawns i Bawb to produce a dance routine to be performed at the Adain Avion nesting site in Llandudno in July 2012.  Curator Marc Rees is keen to include the group in his programme of events taking place over the week and we will now be able to produce a professional standard routine that will make us all proud of the young participants.

The group previously performed at the September 2011 Count Me In  concert at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre and footage of this will be shown at Cineworld within the next couple of months
